Spring Awakening

10/02/2018 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm

The Theatre Lab’s Acting in A Professional Production class presents four free staged readings this fall. The readings are centered around plays of social justice and include some of the DC areas most notable actors. The second reading in the series is Spring Awakening (the play) by Frank Wedekind.

An analyzation of the sexually oppressive culture of the 19th century, this work is consistently banned for its controversial and critical subject matter but it is as important today as it was when it was written. This performance is directed by Jenny McConnell Frederick with the appearance of guest actor Chris Stinson.
Please note: This play contains mature themes and language.

The performance will take place at 6:30pm on October 2nd and will be held at the Washington Stage Guild (900 Massachusetts Ave NW).
